SecureAuth® for Microsoft SharePoint (WSS 3.0)

SecureAuth is the only tokenless, non-phishable authentication solution for Windows SharePoint Server (WSS 3.0) that strongly authenticates both the user and the server, in an easy-to-deploy manner. SecureAuth is ideally suited for the growing number of SharePoint deployments that host secure data/information, including:

• Financials
• Sensitive internal and partner documents
• PCI/FFIEC/GLB regulated materials
• Integrates with existing data store, such as Microsoft Active Directory (LDAP)
• Government and Health Care information

A SharePoint administrator can set up a SecureAuth bi-lateral authentication utilizing the “Authentication Provider” facility in the SharePoint Central Administration console, under the Application Management section. The SharePoint installation does NOT need to be configured to support C-SSL authentication, an installation which has proven difficult and hard to support.

SecureAuth is designed to integrate into the native windows application environment, front-ended by SharePoint , and then authenticate to the native enterprise Active Directory or MS/SQL datastore. The SecureAuth authentication server component can reside on the SharePoint hosted server, or on a separate Windows Server.

Using a combination of a web server module and web services, SecureAuth provides a turnkey solution to deliver an algorithmically proven method to thwart man-in-the-middle and phishing attacks. The SecureAuth solution features out-of-band self-registration and automatically delivers X.509 certificates seamlessly to end users. The solution eliminates the need for administrator resources to deploy software, install upgrades or train end-users on complex, remote access procedures.

Distinct Features:

• Utilizes SharePoint native Windows Forms Authentication
• SharePoint installation does NOT require code modification
• Utilizes secure C-SSL authentication with modifying the existing web server
• Data Integration to directly to Microsoft AD or MS/SQL
• Multi-Browser Support:
     •Internet Explorer
     •FireFox
     •Safari

Advantages
• Full protection from man-in-the-middle, phishing attacks
• No hard tokens to issue end-users
• Fraction of the cost of hard tokens
• No need to support C-SSL
• Simple WebServices-model for CA, Telephony and SMS Text Messaging
